Early Diagnosis of Bladder Cancer Important

Bladder cancer is the sixth most common cancer in the United States. None of these tests can sufficiently rule out bladder cancer.

Users of Actos, who are at an increased risk of developing bladder cancer with extended use, should make certain to watch for the signs and symptoms of bladder cancer.

Signs of Bladder Cancer:

  • Hematuria or blood in urine
  • Increase in frequency of urination
  • Dysuria or feeling of pain during urination
  • Invalid urge to urinate

Bladder tumors are grouped into several types, and the type of bladder cancer you have can affect your treatment options.

Types of Bladder Cancer

  • Transitional cell carcinoma, by far the most common type of bladder cancer, is divided into two subtypes, papillary carcinoma and flat carcinoma
  • Squamous cell carcinoma
  • Adenocarcinoma
  • Small cell carcinoma
